Unleash: Better designer-developer collaboration for an agile world
This talk is about how product teams are organised and what that means for developer and designer collaboration. It further talks about new features in Figma and Jira that enable these structures and improve collaboration.
Watch videoIn this talk, Emil Sjölander from Figma and Matt Delprado from Atlassian talk about different ways that product development teams are structured in and what that means for designer and developer collaboration and what that means for speed and quality. These structures are very familiar to most people who have worked on a product. They further share insights and practical tips about these different ways of working, common pitfalls and latest features in Figma and Jira that teams can leverage to improve handoffs from designers to developers.
I had the pleasure of being invited to speak at this talk at Atlassian's event, "Unleash" too. I am a firm believer in the Embedded model presented in the talk. It results in reduced overheads for the team and I share my experience in evolving from Studio model to Embedded model.
It is a thought-provoking talk that focuses on common challenges faced by most product development teams and provides very practical tips on how to best leverage tools for improved speed and quality.
